Carbon Poker is a new addition to the Merge Gaming
network and has experienced quite a bit of success in the time that it has
been running. Formally known as poker.com, Merge Gaming has changed around
quite a bit of stuff in the transition to Carbon Poker. This poker room is
well known for its wide range of promotions and is also one of the places
that will accept US customers.
Upon landing at Carbon Poker, you’ll immediately notice that it’s a pretty
flashy place with the revolving promotion screens being a dominant theme
here. But that doesn’t mean things are hard to find though since there’s a
menu at the top with drop-down options for every category. Everything on the
menu is pretty standard but you will find an interesting “Community” option
that has things like video, forum, and blog features.
As far as the actual software goes, it differs from a lot of rooms in that
the lobby offers the tabs for everything in a layered format. And this might
take a little bit of time for some people to get used to. However, once a
person is familiar with the lobby, they will find that everything is rather
easy to navigate through. The tables have a pretty simple design which
should please a lot of people since they’re not cluttered and there’s no
problem with the command buttons either. Multi-tabling works pretty well
here too.
One thing that will really stand out with regards to Carbon Poker promotions
is their massive $50,000 Freeroll that occurs monthly. Anybody who gets
5,000 Comp Points throughout a month will be eligible to participate in this
freeroll which, money wise, is exceptional when compared to the freerolls
other places hold. On top of this, Carbon also holds a weekly $10,000
Freeroll which is still pretty big. Freerolls aren’t the only thing Carbon
has in terms of promotions since they also give out a 100% deposit bonus up
to $500 for new players. And the Bad Beat Jackpot is always overflowing with
money too and can pay out hundreds of thousands of dollars to players.
When looking at Carbon Poker’s player volume, it’s not in the upper echelon
as far as sheer numbers go but it is still decent. People can expect to see
a few hundred cash game players and around a couple thousand tournament
players at any one time. Perhaps the best part of the traffic at Carbon
Poker is the fact that the games are really loose and money seems to come
easily for experienced players. At some of the lower limits, people will
call with practically anything making it very easy to take advantage of
them.
If having numerous opportunities to make money while playing poker is your
goal, then Carbon Poker is certainly a great room to play at. Plus it’s a
relatively hassle-free place too since the software works great and there
aren’t many problems overall with the room either. The only thing that could
really be improved is the support since a phone line is not available. But
that’s only nitpicking as live support is given as an option for getting a
hold of a representative.
