Poker Bonus Code: BLIND

CD Poker is a member of the rapidly growing iPoker network, which includes
sites like Titan Poker and Noble Poker among its most notable. Fair Poker,
Bet Fred Poker, PokerOcean, and Kiwi Poker are some of the other notable
skins on this network.
Visitors to the cdpoker.com homepage are greeted with a nice, clean
interface. Downloading and installing the software is very easy, as is
establishing an account. Players are assigned a “CPRxxxxxx” username, which
is different than the screen name shown on the site (all iPoker sites do
this). It would be wise to save the email they send with this number, since
it is somewhat difficult to recover and must be used to log in.
Promotions
This site’s promotions are good, including a 50% first deposit bonus ($200
maximum). This bonus is cleared by accumulating CD Points, which are comp
points earned for playing in raked hands (dealt cards, not sitting out) or
paying tournament entry fees. Each 100 points earns $1 of bonus, and bonuses
are released to player accounts in $10 increments as they are cleared.
Sometimes they offer no-deposit bonuses to players who open an account but
haven’t deposited or played yet. This might be worth a try.
The place where CD Poker really sets itself apart is in the area of regular
player rewards. As your play at CD Poker increases, you can accumulate CD
Points up to twice as fast as beginning players. This makes clearing regular
reload bonuses (recently as high as 60% up to $700) much easier.
Sit-and-go tournament fans will like the opportunity to win big in the
Jackpot tournaments. Winning 6 consecutive SnG entitles a player to a huge
jackpot of up to $100,000, depending on the buy-in level. A player finishing
first or second 6 times consecutively receives a consolation prize of up to
$750.
Freerolls
There are a lot of free money tournaments on the CD Poker schedule. New
depositors get one shot at a $1000 freeroll held weekly. Players in their
first 90 days at the site can enter a daily $100 beginners freeroll.
Finally, anyone playing 750 raked hands in a week is eligible for a $2000
freeroll.
Tournaments
There are a nice variety of tournaments available besides the aforementioned
Jackpot sit-and-go tournaments. Six player single table tournaments are
always offered. There are several daily guaranteed prize pool tournaments,
many of which are under subscribed, creating an overlay situation.
Bottom Line
Software: like all iPoker sites, the software tends to be a bit
clunky at times, but the softness of the games seems to more than make up
for it. The big news on the iPoker front is the fact that all iPoker sites
now write hand histories directly to the user’s hard drive. This is huge
news for Poker Tracker users, and a real plus.
Graphics: The graphics are pleasant and unobtrusive.
The top-down view is uncluttered but still gives a lot of information. New
players will like the ability to enable a feature that shows your current
hand value on the screen. One minus in the unavailability of four-color
decks.
Bonuses: excellent dollar values, but can be somewhat difficult to
clear.
Traffic: fair. In the (almost) year I have had a CDPoker account, I
have seen a steady increase in the availability of games with several
players seated. Low limit SnGs fill up quickly, and low stakes limit and
no-limit cash games have a wide selection.
Support: very fast responses, and there is a live chat option
available, with decent response times. Accuracy of information seems good.
Cashouts to neteller made within 48 hours.
If you are a low-stakes grinder, this is an excellent site for you. Some of
the .01/.02 no-limit games I experimented with were extremely loose and
passive, and low stakes sit-and-gos are beatable. They have been known to
offer free money to inactive players with no strings attached.
