What's the most valuable tip you ever got? Mine was to build my game starting from a solid tight-aggressive base. Fortunately, I got this - and heeded it - quite soon after I started. Like a lot of newbies, I had started off playing any two cards that seemd decent. And frankly, I wasn't doing very well. So when I saw this advice - I don't even remember who it came from except that it was a well-known pro - I decided to give it a try.
This led to other valuable tips like having patience and learning which hands to play in which seats, but the base for me was as noted. |
