Here's how I calculate pot odds:

First I study the pot. What kind of pot is it? Raku? Antique? Chinese? Does it go with my decor? If not, I immediately fold. How big is it? After all, I have to put it somewhere. Do I have room for it? (I already have a lot of pots.) How many other people want it? Do they want it more than I do?

I give all this consideration, and I give myself a 50-50 chance of making the right decsion.
