 Punted Dialup
I finally punted dialup service for DSL. I was using a $10 per month dialup, but now DSL is very cheap. I signed up for the ATT (SBC) DSL service for $13 per month and it seems to be about 5x faster. I signed up online and they sent me a DSL router with WIFI capabilities. The router costs $80, but they give you a $50 rebate, so the net cost is $30. Sweet deal and now my land phone is available while I'm online.
I understand that this deal expires after 12 months, then the rate is $30 per month. BUT my work buds tell me that they are still paying the $13/mo even after 3 years. Anyone else use this service ?? |
