I'd say it's about 75% skill and 25% luck. If you're not catching anything, you sit still and wait. That's part of poker skill, being able to resist playing for the sake of playing. Another aspect of skill is the decision making process. You get AA. That's luck. But now how do you play them? Slow? Go all in? That's where having a strategy, reading the other players, and calculating odds come in.

There's always going to be the ocassional suck out on the river--sometimes in your favor, sometimes not. But solid play will win over random lucky breaks most of the time, I think.
