 freezeout v rebuy.
personally, i'm not a fan of rebuys, just cuz i hate seeing people go all ineverytime they rebuy over and over just to double up.
other than that, u shouldnt really be biased towards freezeout.
if u think about it, rebuy is just like a freezeout.
think about it like this.
a rebuy tourney with 100 people 5 dollar buyin/rebuy
if 70% of the people rebuy (for simplicity only one rebuy)
then 70 people will spend 5 dollar more. ie, total prizepool increase from 500 to 850.
the number of chips in the game will increase by 70% original chip amount,
and u'll be playing the 70 people once again.
thus just thin that u are playing in a freezeout tourney with 170 people, with a prizepool of 850.
usually in a freezeout, when a player gets knocked out ,a new player from another table will fill that spot. in rebuy, when they rebuy, just imagine that a new player came along to the table.
if u change ur mentality like that u will probably be doing better.
rebuys are actually better in that if YOU get knocked out, YOU have the opportunity to get back in the game. If ur chipleading, then that's even better  |
