 Just a little vent
I won't really consider this a bad beat, just a really bad run of the cards being that this guy was only a slight underdog preflop.
Was playing in a $10+$1 SnG at FullTilt and down to the final 4 blinds 200/400. This guy who had been short stack for quite some time seemed to go all in every time I was in the BB. He had around 1,200 chips, I was in 3rd with about 2,800. So here I am, in the BB and I get delt pocket 6s and of course, Mr. Short Stack goes all in. I immediately call, just knowing for some reason hes just trying to take the 600 chips from the blinds. Our cards turn over and hes got 7c 9h, just hoping now he doesn't hit a 7 or 9. Flop comes out J63 all clubs, (yes hit my set) turn Kc, (oh crap, pair the damn board) river Qc. It really sucks when ya bust someone in a total bluff and they catch not only 1 but 4 cards to make the winning hand. Yes I could have folded and waited for another hand, but I just had one of those feelings that he was on a stone cold bluff, which turned out right, but also soooo wrong.  |
