in that situation with 7 players to go, i would call his 5BB raise or fold .. you had 24k stack he had 28k.. i would never move against big stack with any drawing hand ..
if i don't hit anything, i would fold to any bet, and losing 5k, leaving me 19k to act with blinds 500/1000 and my bb was passed .. i think that is really good position, and i still have too much time to play poker and wait for my hands to come - and somebody will get out there in that time, so that's more money for me!
