Definitely position is key.
If you bet early with these hands, I've found that betting about half pot postflop is a good way to get information. If they raise you, you can throw it away and if they call, proceed cautiously, and don't bluff all the way.
Going all-in with these hands I think are dangerous because they can easily be dominated by people who will be likely to call all-ins. AK, AQ, AJ ... at best you will be 50/50 against a smaller pocket pair. I'd prefer going all in with 78s than these hands. |
