It's hard to tell since you don't state how many chips you had and what the blinds were, but it appears you were donw to somewhere in the vicinity of 10 to 12 BB before you made your initial raise. And you said you were the short stack. So, I fail to see much reason for folding.

The board is relatively benign. For your opponent to have an open-ended straight draw, he would have had to call your raise with JT, T7 or 76. Not impossible, but not very likely either, especially the latter two holdings. Since you also said nothing about the suits on the flop, I'm guessing it was rainbow, but even if it was single-suited, so what? You're the short stack and don't have much more than 10 BB left. What better opportunity are you going to wait for?
