assumng you had 10bb, and you raised 3 bb, you get called.
since you acted before the other guy post flop and there's 4 people in the game, i'd put it that the other guy is the button, you were UTG

you raise 3xbb, he calles, blinds fold.
there's 7.5bb in the pot, how much DID you bet?
you have 7bb left, you probably bet 3bb, he went all in. now there's 13.5bb, you have 4bb left to put in the hand.

that's enough to explain it, your pot committed and it's an obvious call.
seriously, not busting out with lone AA applies to early on in the tourney when you have a large chip stack with small blinds, at that situation busting with lone pair of aces is stupid
but you are down to 4, you are short stack, you are pot committed and blinds are high, obviously you chose the wrong time to try and think smart.
