A buddy of mine and I were playing heads up in a winner-take-all $20 buy in consisting of 4 other players. I have 8c-9c and he has Js-Jh. I limp on the button and he doubles the blind. I call. The flop is 6d-7c-5s. I flopped the nearly unbeatable straight. I check to him, he bets 3x the BB and I double that bet. He raises all in with a bigger stack than me and I call immediately. We show our cards and as I flip the turn and river and start collecting my $120 simultaneously, I see the impossible. The Jc followed by the case Jd. I shouted various explatives and looked at my boy in disbelief. I immediately asked him if he had jokingly rigged the deck, but he pointed out that I had dealt the cards. He agreed to buy me a beer, so we are still friends. LoL |
