it can pay off, Gavin Smith plays this way early in a tourney. the advantage is you will have more chips when you do win the first few races, the down side is you will be walking home early more often. i guess its important to wiegh how important it is to cash as opposed to taking down first place. it will not be the most consistant strategy but you will win first occasionally with your stack and that IS where the real money is. |
