 77 year old woman wins WSOP event
a woman finally won the Seniors Event at the World Series of Poker, this time at the 2006 WSOP being held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel Casino in Las Vegas, NV. The winner, 77 year old Clare Miller, is a New Mexico grandmother who won the Seniors Event at the WSOP during the week she was also celebrating her 41st Wedding Anniversary. After a two day marathon of card playing it was Miller who emerged the eventual winner, taking home a coveted WSOP bracelet, a huge cash payout, and the honor of being the first woman to nail the Seniors Event. I some how missed this tourney during the WSOP but I think it would of been funny to watch. What is a 77 year old woman going to do with all that money?
