Why lower your standards? Then again what are premium hands to you. Sure 10/9 suited looks like crap in early position but if you see that in late position with limpers a raise might pick up the blinds. Even if your raise gets called. Say the flop comes A, 9, 7. You hit middle pair, but if you bet hard, representing the ace, most likely the table will think you hit your Ace and give up. Now if you get re-raised, obviously you get a little worried. Sure getting cold decked is frustrating but in my opinion, don't lower your standards. Wait for the good hands, they will come, when they do, get your pots.
