 My bad...
I was playing on partypoker. Maybe you know that there is a bad beat jackpot. That means if you have four of a kind fives or higher and you lost the hand, which is activly participated by 4 people who has post at least blinds. Then the badbeat jackpot is hitten.
So i was playing on a 0.5$/1.0$ no limit texas holdem table. I had QQ at the starting hand. So i raised 4 times the bigblind ( short stack strategy) There was 4 callers. And then the flop gives me this Q 4s 6s. I hit trips so i bet another time. Two people folded and one called me. Apparently he was flush drawing. Then the nightmare began. The turn: Q! That upgrades my hand to an unbeatable hand! So i checked, hoping he would have the As and draw the flush, so i can push him allin. The freecard river: 3s. Bingo! i thought. So i bet an sucker bet like a quarter of the pot size. I got raised by 3 times the whole pot size. So there wasn't any need to consider to reraise allin. So i thought this is my lucky day. Actually i was already thinking to buy this new laptop i've seen recently. But then the disaster came: He turned and show me this 5s 7s!! My unbeatable four of a kind Queens lost to a f**k straight flush!
After this i swear to god i never play again on partypoker. This badbeat has cost me 800$ my whole stack!  |
