One other method I have found useful is
multi-tabling then playing Tight-Aggressive. If you chose to start with strong hands, then your chances of winning increase overall. My laptop only allows for two tables, but it helps. Especially for Limit games, where Donkeys are willing to chase with crappy hands.
With a
large screen monitor (20"), there are players that play 4 tables at once with no overlap (and no shrinking of the tables). At
PokerStars (and many other sites), you can now shrink the tables to multi-table, but on my screen it is too small and hard on the eyes.
