Well I'd say it really depends. You want to try to get a read on the opponent. Obviously the first thing you want to try and figure out is whether or not he/she flopped a set. The player might also have an overpair, like JJ. Most players will tell you with JJ in a cash game you just wanna get in for not too expensive and hope for low cards to hit the board, or a set. 4X big blind raise is standard and if I were holding JJ I would of just called and not re-raise.
