So I just got done playing acouple $2 sngs, which by the way I got a 1st and 2 2nds, but I had a hand in one of the Omaha 8s or better sng that is worth noting because it shows an important concept especially if you are new to 8s or better. Unforturnatly I wasnt paying that much attention to this sng at the time and played this hand horribly, try not to laugh at me to much

The first mistake I made was not raising on the turn to get more cash in there but it wasnt has bad because I pretty much had the nuts since I had the A2 and was going to pop it on the turn if he bet out, the problem was on the turn when the 2 came off. I made a huge mistake checking because now i had no low draw and gave the guy a free shot at half the pot, which unfortunatly he won.
This is the central concept of omaha 8s or better, your goal is to scoop pots. When you have a made high hand it is very hard to slow play because you have to make sure no low hand is possible. What i should have done is bet out on the turn when the 2 came, even if i wanted to slow play my hand because i could not give him a free look at the river.
If you only learn one thing about 8 or better i hope its this concept
