Playing in a home game this game this situation came up. How would you play it? You are holding ATs and raise $2 before the flop. You get two callers, one of which is a maniac.

Flop 10 4 8 rainbow.

Player to your left bets $1. You raise to $4. Maniac goes all in. ($24 and all your stack.)

Player to your left folds.

Action is on you. Call or Fold?

I want to know what you guys would do?

I could suggest you start analyzing the maniac on any possible tells, or betting patterns; but in my opinion the fact that he is a maniac is all you need to know. I would definitely call. If you play with the guy enough you'll win enough of these situations even if he is packing pocket jacks this particular time.

My guess is that he got into a hand he didn't want to at the pre-flop price, such as a low card (like a 4 or an 8) and a face. He hit middle or bottom pair, is frustrated by the fact he's in the hand at all and pushes all in to cease the action.
