 what about maverick
I enjoyed Maverick. I first saw it when I was at school, and I wanted to learn how to play properly. I taught myself the rules from a book and developed my own plays etc playing 5-draw for pennies during free periods. Admittedly, the film isn't much about poker, and the hands that come up are just a bit far-fetched, but it's a good film which happens to have a bit of poker in it too. When it does do the poker bits, it really hammers home the fact that you play the players and not the cards - especially in draw. |
