if its a weak bet then a medium raise cant hurt you too bad and its a good test for his hand strength. If you have a good hand you could just raise as if its your continuation bet on the flop. Then if he folds you're good, if he just calls you have the potential to bluff him later with a large bet, and if he reraises then he probably hit the flop and you could fold if you think hes got you. |
