Yes, that was my point, but they are
not the same site. It's not even the same software. Sure, it may be the same company, but there is a distinct difference in the two. The .NET program doesn't even offer money games.
FYI.

Yikes, man. You honestly believe that they play on there regularly? All you get to see is a user name and nothing else. It could be literally anybody sitting behind that other computer screen.
By the way, do you have access to the terms of their contracts? If not, then I suggest you quit spewing excrement on this forum. You can't sit there and try to tell me or anybody else that these poker pros "DO play at stars, exclusively, as per their contracts" and pass that off as fact; there just simply isn't any proof. Hell, using your logic, I could say that Joe Hachem can be found living in an igloo on one of the poles, provide a picture of an igloo, a picture of Joe, and a picture of some figure standing in front of the igloo, and pass that off as fact. But, alas, that's as absurd as your ingenious deduction and there is, quite simply, no real proof.
As a side note, I suppose that it is possible for
PokerStars to offer a chance to play against an actual pro via winning a satellite or something similar (I think I've seen these around), and then pay that pro to actually sit down and play against the satellite winner online. Regardless, the key word there is "pay". That's why these poker pros endorse poker sites in the first place -- money. That's why celebrities agree to appear in commercials -- money. Do you think John Madden is an avid user of "tough actin' Tinactin"? I should hope not.
According to the infinite wisdom of Doyle Brunson, "poker is a game of people." I'm sure most
professional poker players agree with that statement. There is a vast difference between online poker and real life poker and the latter requires much more skill, even a touch of art. So, for those pros who play so well in live poker and with online poker lacking some of the most crucial components of the game, there really is no incentive for pros to play online.
