As those have already said, I point out again that the mysterious bad beats happen MUCH more often in low-stakes games than high stakes. I tried playing higher stakes for a while, and things were a lot more "realistic" per se than the lower-stake tables. The people here who believe the site is not rigged and criticize the people here who do don't realize that this doesn't only happen to the player themselves, but one can easily observe others who fall under the same trap. I recently played on PS just for kicks and I observed countless players get bad beat after bad beat with the same pattern: big stack goes all in with garbage, smaller stack calls with a 10:1 odds and sucks out. I felt sorry for those players.
I don't think anyone who plays low stakes are seriously competitive and use statistical programs to track their hands. Those players who are serious and play poker as a side-living play much higher stakes and utilize these programs to keep track of their hand history. With low stakes an attraction for players who play for fun and new players (and donkeys), PS can easily adjust hands to attract more new players and screw over the ones who play for the excitement or practice. No one can really say what happens behind the program. Even with all their "random generator" mumbo jumbo on their site, can you trust that completely and go on? You never looked at the code yourself.
As a final note, do let me know when you actually see a team
poker stars players online. I check often just to see how the "pros" play and I have only seen 1 team
pokerstars player out of 15 or something play (besides ElkY who played mad a few months ago to gain platinum plus or something membership. Even then, he never goes on anymore after he received that status).
