You won't learn much in play chips ring games. since there are most people just going all-in all the time. So you won't be able to learn ring game play there. The best is that you invest a bit money and try real low ring games, 0.01$/0.02$ no limit games are available on as far as i know on Titan poker and Pokerstars, so try them there.

Maybe first you should try limit holdem ring games, to get a bit feel of the game... try loose play at first, to se how you do. Then switch to playing Phil Hellmuth's to ten limit holdem hands - AA, KK, QQ, JJ, TT, 99, 88, 77, AK and AQ. After that you'll get the feel for the game.

If you want tournament play I suggest two sites: freerolls on Ultimatebet poker since there are many per day. If you want good competition even in freerolls the best site to learn is Bodog - you learn the most in their freerolls, because the ones I played there, the games were not so loose and you can try more stuff. Don't bother with playchips sit&go's and Absolut poker freerolls since they are way to loose and you'll only see all-ins all the time with crap hands and no real play.

There were great free limit sit&go's at Everest poker that could win you 0.05$ if you win them and after that you could go to no limit holdem sit&go's that buyin was as low as 0.05$. I played a lot there and learned a lot there. But i don't think they have that tables anymore. I also played in Gnuf poker freerolls with 12000 people in it, but I don't think there are so many freerolls there anymore.
