Tight game middle/late position raise, early limp. Loose game limp early/middle and raise late. Raise is 3xBB, since I want action after the flop when I hit a set.
When you hit always bet... and watch for chasers.
When you miss - check, fold. Unless with a good position (button) and you were the preflop raiser and everybody checks to you. Then I'll try to bluff with a bet around 1/3 1/2 of the pot. Many callers usually mean weak players, so they don't actually see the bet size in relation to pot, so lower bet bluffs can work and they don't cost a lot of my stack. If I get called, I am ready to abandon that hand.
The only time I don't play like that when I don't hit a set is when the guy with the short stack is betting after the flop. I almost always raise them. But that is just me

, because I have superiority complex against short stacks.
