Bad beats are going to happen, and sometimes, they can feel pretty devastating or brutal or whatever other word you care to use. It's probably helpful to have forums like this one where you can tell your story and - most of the time, anyway - find some sympathy to help you get over them.
One thing that helps me a lot is never playing for money I can't easily afford to lose. That way, when I do lose, I can mentally write it off as the cost of entertainment, like renting a video - well, maybe a few videos, but you probably know what I mean. Still stings to lose when I was a heavy favorite, but at least I don't get upset because of the money. |
