no.1 I would probebly not do what you did on the first bet. I wouldent bet half of my money,( if I didnt have a lot more money) either you just make a small raise or you go all in from the start. if you bet half of your mony you dont have that much money to play whit , and then you get scared to lose.
( all in is always a nice way to go because then you dont have to worey what to do next hand )

no.2 If you get those cards at the flop and you bet as you did at the first bet the only thing you should do is go in whit the rest of you money. its about what you did bet the first time and if you dont bet as big he knows that you dont have anything and if you check , I dont think I have to tell you what he will do but sometimes you can get lucky and he doesent get anything either and just checks to. if you would have done what I said and just raise small you would have more money and you dont have to bet as big since the raise wasnt as high. the other guy could go all in anyway, but there is a much higher chanse that he just calls and then at least you get to see the turn.
( see you should have gone all in, much easyer )

no.3 but if you did check and he did go all in I think you should call him because you have already bet almost all you money and he probebly doesent have anything either, and if he has, tobad. its hard to say if I wuld have called because I wouldent have played the same as you. but mostly I dont like going all in after the flop if I dont have anything.
