The only time I can see folding Aces pre-flop is when the situation is like Slayre's - you're so close to the money and have no reason to take a chance like that. Remember, Aces do not do well in multi-way pots. Many pros would (and do) also advise folding in a situation like that.

Any other time though....you have the best hand at that point, and the goal is to always get your money in when you have the best of it....
