well that thing about Scandinavian countries sound a bit too harsh.
although not much of a problem for me now that i don't live in denmark anymore

(I used to live there from 2002~2004)
well anyways, i'm sure u've heard of the term "There is no free lunch"
it's something like that, there's always gonna be terms and conditions
some sites do give you the money up front (usually percantage is less for this, like a 20% bonus for example) but in this case as well, if you wanna cash out that amoune (let's say you deposit 100 dollars and you get 20 dollar bonus up front) you can't cash out $20 from your account until you play certain number of raked hands,(around 200 in most cases).
These bonuses may sound pointless since you have to play 5 times more etc. but if you are a profitable player who choses to play for a longtime it's actually a bonus,
say you were gonna play for money anyway and you actually do play profiting games.
by the time you complete the raked hand kind of stuff, you'll be 300$ up from your play anyway, and your also getting the edditional 100$ bonus by that time from the deposit bonus, so that adds to your profit rate.
that's pretty much what bonus hunting is about, it's not about getting free money. it's more about getting an added profit.
deposits that are given up front seem more like free money though, cuz you can play with it and it doesn't maatter if you lose it.
but of course when you are winning it does matter that you completed the requireents etc.
money that's only given after you complete the requirements are usually harder , but there's move bonus money involved...
(ie,
noble's 100% up to 700$. sure there's more money, but it's harder.)
where as
Bodog (20% up front, and very easy to clear the requirements. etc
