During freerolls, the people who go all-in on the first 3/4 blind levels are a godsend
I tend to hold back my chips until the blinds get to 50/25 to make sure I get value out of the pot, even if I'm raising people off it completely
I would, however, say that the use of all-ins (online) is essential during speed poker, particular on 3 minute or less blind levels (empire poker for instance)
You have to build a chip count fast there or its all over before it starts
