Default re: Regs in FRs

The password game is like sailing through pirate-infested waters I have come to realize.

I would never give a password. I have, however, steered people to forums to sign up and get their own. No crime in that.

BUT.....

I have absolutely no network of friends who play poker online...I am the only one I know, in fact. So I spend my mornings in search of tournament information. You know, the kinds of qualifiers with finals...large prizes. I made the mistake of giving the site information (never the PW) to someone in confidence who exchanged a site with me.....

NEVER AGAIN !!!

That person, i come to learn, is the head of a league and has a large network of contacts. Suddenly, a great tournament with a small enrollment turns into the main event of the night ...WITHIN 30 MINUTES. I don't think this was coincidence, looking at all the player names that suddenly appeared...all related somehow. (I have only been a poker player since November, but long enough to recognize the names)

I learned my lesson the hard way....

NOT ONLY SHOULD YOU NEVER DIVULGE A PASSWORD.....
DON'T EVER SHARE SITES FOR TOURNAMENT INFORMATION.
WHY DO YOU WANT MORE COMPETITION ???

As for me....MY LIPS ARE SEALED FOREVER. I want my hard work to pay off for ME, not the bigwig rollers who win everything all the time.
