8x the blinds pre flop is way too much in my opinion.... 4 or 5 times the blinds max. more than that your just gambling too much of your stack.
I like to call overbets like that myself with low cards (suited , connected, suited connected) because i know, if i hit something, the guy who overbetted the pot will bet again and be way too pot commited. |
