How exactly did you act preflop, since the villain is in the hand with 2-x. If you had made a big raise or even pushed, I don't see how he could have called any of it.

If the chance arises for an allin preflop with AA (I wouldn't just shove my chips in, I want action) then of course I'm going to take it. The biggest beats I see aces take are when someone either tries to play it too smooth and limps or they min.-raise, keeping more people in than desired. If the entire table moves allin and you call with AA, yes you're going to win only a little more than you lose, but you've got the best hand and you can't back down.
