Given your position in a game, you might want to think about re-raising with AK, especially if it's suited. A lot of people will make standard raises with medium pocket pairs, and in those cases, AKs can turn out to be a great hand for you. If you're last to act in a hand, and have the chips, consider a re-raise. Your opponent will probably be able to isolate you to a few hands - AA, KK, or AK, and if they call, then you get a better idea of where you stand. If you don't hit a dream flop (straight or flush), then you can drop the hand.
