I don't know about burning. It's doubtful that they would, because the point of burning a card is to prevent anyone from having accidently seen the next card to come. Since that's not possible online, seems like a burn would be unneccesary.

What most sites do do however, is shuffle the deck before dealing the turn and then again before the river. I wasn't aware of this; just found out the other day. It's done as a prevention from cracking the site. I'm not sure what kind of effect that has on dealing really - bottom line, the cards always come out at random, live or online - but the extra shuffle before each street would definately cause a difference in the results, IF you compare a live deck and an online deck that start off exactly the same, each having cards in the exact order.
