She's overrated. There are better women players out there. She's the Michelle Wie of the poker world, she's above average for a woman but doesn't qualify for any elite group in the larger, more skilled field. I'm not being sexist, women can compete with men in poker quite easily, I just don't think Annie Duke should be pushed as the poster girl for Women in Poker- there are more qualified women out there.
In the 2004 TOC she didn't impress me, too much riding on luck. She was trapped by the other players a few times but got lucky more than anything. |
