The only way to be a winner gambling is to leave while you are up. With online poker I find that it is better to request check regularly (ie. from Neteller). As long as the money is available somewhere online, it CAN always be used if you go on TILT or if you are a drunkard.
One of my buddies had a couple of thousand in his
PokerStars account and played most of it away after coming home drunk. He woke up the next morning (with a hangover) and only found a couple of hundred in his account. He was mad at himself for weeks.
