I look at it this way, there are less than a dozen regular posters at BBP during the week (so far there are 9 qualified players as of 1:40pm Friday). The rest jump on late or are
Titan Freerollers that have seen the Sunday Night Tournie and post like crazy on Saturday and Sunday to meet the quota. Then they will have no idea of How and When the password is posted and we risk them missing the cut. They will be upset if they miss it AND BBP regulars will be upset if the Freeroll doesn't go.
The next thing the Newbies see is that a couple of hours prior to the Freeroll there are usually two registered players, then they start to get antsy.
I believe a minimum of 20 players is required for the Freeroll to kickoff. If people are inclined to share the password, then it is very difficult to stop them anyways. How long does it take to make a phone call or send an email? I say less then 5 minutes. So my conclusion is that 20 minutes is cutting it close for technical reasons (ie. newbies will panic). BUT it's BBP's call and I respect whatever decision is made.
