I never slow play ACES coz they can get beaten if you let everyone into the pot so i try to eliminate as many players pre-flop w/a big raise but not big enough to the point where i scare everyone out of the pot. After the flop, you gotta be aggressive, unless someone is indicating a better hand than yours *2 pairs or higher* just keep making them pay w/big bets.
KK tho is a more cautious approach, raise big pre-flop and if its all low cards on the flop, once again you have to be aggressive. But if an ACE pops up, caution is key, if you really wanna know if they have that ACE, then you should raise them to see if they re-raise, and if they do, i know its tough, but let it go.
Even tho these 2 hands are clearly the best starting hands pre-flop, they can be broken n beaten after the flop, so if you know your beat, let it go. |
