He had you beat on the turn when you called his all in bet. You only had 2 outs so your chances to win were very, very slim. Thats a huge bet to call with 3 clubs on the board. I agree it sucks to lose to a boat to a flush, but you had to figure there was a good chance you were beat on the turn. What could he have had to push all in on the turn?
It either had to be a flush, 10 with chance of better kicker, or maybe he had already made a boat. Could he really have been pushing all in a stone bluff, two pair, or straight/flush draw. It's possible, but I wouldn't expect it in a 1/2 NL ring game, thats more of a freeroller move. Its a very hard lay down but unless this guy has been playing super aggressively you have to figure there is a good chance your beat with only 2 outs with 1 card to go and your pot odds don't sound like they were great unless there were a lot more people in pot. |
