There's discussion over at 2+2 about at least 18 identified bots that are playing the $22 SnGs, often staying online for days at a time. It's a
long thread , but bascially these bots were ID'd by a player because they would all raise all-in for 95% of their stack - a weird move, and one that these same players made time and time again. In addition, the bots always sit in the same seat at an SnG (you can pick your seat at Party). The guess is that this was done in the programming to prevent the bots from playing against each other. I'm not sure how many of you play at Party, but here are the names to be on the lookout for -
ragra
frnchrev
lvstrg
thathy
hnglos
sanroad
micmonn
k1muller
trvndrm
remick2
mdwlrk
bmpcch
iluvaks
rswhlr
dabsop
josamart
cufutbl
pbnsub
It's not too hard to beat a bot if you're paying attention, as the moves are of course programmed and therefore repetative. But for people who multi-table, and therefore aren't paying a lot of attention, a bot could take them down.
Bots are used by many people, at many different sites - the big discussion is that the sites don't do a lot to prevent it from happening, nor are they really looking for these things. The fact that a player noticed this before Party did says a lot - and these things have been running for months.
