Lower blinds in heads up definitely favors the more skilled player and alleviates the advantage that an over aggressive player may have because in a tourney by the time you hit last two the blinds are usually huge. This first phase is the building phase in a heads up match where you jocky for position and look for betting patterns. In a heads up tourney, early phase, over aggressive play will kill you ever time. Instead of looking for higher, rapidly increasing blinds I suggest you try to master the low, slow rising blind game and for this you will become a better overall player. |
