53 players, 91 buyins= $191 I just came in second. I don't know how I grinded to get to headsup, but I was a 2:1 dog. I made two key bluffs and I went up 2:1. We then leveled out, he had a few hundred more than me (63k:62.4k) KJo on the button I go 3x the BB and make it 12k. He calls and the flop is Q103 rainbow. He immediately pushes and I figure he's just upset that I kept bluffing him out and he was making a move. I called and I was right, he had 710s. In my head I figured it was maybe 60:40 him, but my odds calculator says its exactly 50:50. I couldn't catch and I walked away with $37.60 profit. Would you guys make this call?

I definately would have made the call. Off the flop you have 14 outs in like 44 cards left not to mention chance to 2 pair the board which gives you slightly more outs. But i think your calculator is wrong, or maybe its adding chances for your outs on both turn and river. But anyways you had to make the call, would have made it myself if i was only on an opened alone.

Its a good call. I personally wouldnt have made it. Being that close to taking the whole tourney down, I would much rather wait until I actually have a hand before I push my chips in the middle. On the other hand, you had a decent amount of outs to make this call correct. So it was a bold play that I applaud, sorry you didn't catch.

I just used the one on Cardplayer.com, I think it's pretty reliable and wouldn't doubt it's odds. Maybe it helps if I put that he had 710 hearts and no possible flush draw. I don't know. I'm sort of regretting it because I know that I could have taken this guy down anyway, he wasn't anything special. Thanks guys, looking for more success in the $2.2 tonight.

Agreen - first of all, congratulations. Second place is nothing to hang your head about. Secondly, I was watching when it got down to the final 3 people. You were really outplaying that guy, and I thought you had it won. His pushing like that didn't surprise me - he was clearly getting frustrated by your solid play. I can't say I disagree with the call, because you had a LOT of outs, and he could have had absolutely anything. That being said, I think that in that situation, I would have folded. Simply because you were outplaying him the whole way, a little more patience and I'm sure (barring an awful suckout or running into AA with KK or something like that) you could have taken him. Nonetheless, well done, and certainly, not an awful call. Just turned out to be the wrong one in this case.
