Are the Astros going to start of really bad like they did last year and then go on a crazy run at the end of the season to kill my dreams of seeing the Phillies in the playoffs or are they just going to be good the whole year?

I hate to break it to you Gutshot, buy Jimmy Rollins's hitting streak just came to an end at 38 games.

It's too bad that he had to have the offseason in between. I think he would have had a MUCH better chance at catching DiMaggio if he could have kept hitting last year, when he was hot.

Still a great run for him though - certainly made a lot of people take notice

Phillies have gotten off to slow starts the last 3 years, I didn't expect this year to be different. David Bell sucks, Leiberthal sucks, our pitching isn't great. I'm kind of interested to see Gavin Floyd and Ryan Madson pitch in the next 2 games.

Word is that Fasano will be catching for Leiber and Floyd all season because Leiberthal can't call a game to save his life.

Houston is different this year. It scares me though because I love their horrible starts (15 below .500 last year). Then nobody thinks about them and they have a second half 60 times better than anyone. It's every year they do this however this year they have started out 3-1. I guess it's still early though so they can go like 10-20 then start winning. Either way I just want to see them in the playoffs.

It's a shame to see rollins streak, but he has prooved to a lot of people that he is pretty consistent. I don't know if you remember when he came up, but everyone said he was too inconsistent to play MLB. I guess hitting in 38 str8 takes that and throws it out the window. He has deffinately prooved that is not only consisten, but one of the best SS in the game this year. To think how young he is and is only going to get better.

I am a huge Met fan and am estatic that they are off to a good start. Hopefully we finally beat the braves this year.

However, it is nice to finally get to watch the best sport in action.

I watch baseball but I dont follow it religeously however my brother inlaw was an assistant general manager with the minn twins for the last several years so we had to hear baseball and the twins year around and now he is with an indoor college football stadium so I guess we will switch sports talk in the house this year to college football.
