Default poker shortcuts

ok...the fastest shortcut I ever found to calculating your outs likelehood of improving your hand...I'm gonna keep it very simple so that even a first time player can do an immediate calculation in your head...

to calculate outs is fairly obvious..if you have a pair then of course you have two outs...a straight draw has either four or eight....a flush draw would have 9 outs...a flush and open ended straigh draw has has 9+8-2 or 15...two pair and you have 4 outs...two pair with flush draw 4+9-2 or 11....

the beauty of this system is that its a rough estimate usually within 2% of the correct decimal calculation, so evein if you miss an out its still very close...

OK ARE YOU READY HERE IT IS IN A NUTSHELL!!

after the flop= number of outsX4
after the turn =mumber of outsX2

so for example you flop 2 pair and have 4 outs

you have 4x4 or 16 percent to boat up within the last two cards

after the turn you have 4x2 or 8% chance to boat on the turn

Its better to calculate from street to street because you'll hardly ever get to see both for one price. When making a decision on whether to call or fold based on pot odds with a flush draw its not 36% so 3:1 pot odds doesn't warrant a call. It would be 18% and you would need a lil more than 4:1 pot odds to chase your flush.
