 National Heads Up Poker Championship What do you guys think about the National Heads Up Poker Chapionship? For those of you who dont know what Im talking about its this tourny that is all headsup play. Where you play a match agaist some one and then the win moves on to the next round. Its kind of sturcture like the NCAA basketballl tournment. I thinks that its a really intresting new way to sturcture a tourny and I can wait to watch it. I beileve that they will be running it on NBC some time in April. Also I wouldnt mind if some poker sites picked up on this idea and started to have something like a headsup tourny. I think it would be fun to play in that kind of tourny.

| I think I remember Nxtyear made a post about playing in a tournament like this, I can't remember if it was on PokerStars or PartyPoker. A headsup tournament would be pretty cool, except it would take forever. |

| I know that Prima sites have (or at least used to have - haven't played on one for a while now) a heads up tourney. I think there were some with 4 people, and some with 20. It was structured the exact same way - you play someone heads up, and if you win, you move on and play again, and if you lose - you're done. I - depending on the payout structure - like the idea, and might get into playing some at Prima. |

| Stars does have Heads Up tourneys. There has been some controversy in the poker world about this event - there are some big names missing from the event, and some random "celebrities" are playing instead. Article at ESPN - http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/poker...rew&id=2351751

| Fulltilt just got a Headsup SNG going, there are only four players so the two winners from each one advance. Also the payout is winner take all.

| good idea I think that is a very good idea to do a heads up tournaments like that. We can really see the players skills and much more. I'm glad that poker continues to rise. Well in that case...this is just a suggestion but...maybe in the future...wouldn't it be cool if we had our own heads up tournament here? I think it would be a great new experience. | I saw this and i liked it becasue it required a different kind of skill and it was different to the normal 10 person table NL and i also like it cause phil won. |
