at poker tables i m unable to see the river as one or the other is going all in and i m forced to fold...when river comes it many times comes in favour of me and i have to regret for not playing,,,pl advise me how to deal with it

It's kinda hard to give advice without knowing much more about the details of the hand. But in general, if you have odds to call the all-in bet, you should, especially if you have pegged your opponent as someone who abuses the all-in.

theres nothing you can do if u think your beat. If your on a draw and the price is right you call but if you think your oppenent has you you have to get out. Its that simple.

If you need to put all your chips in and then hit on the river to win, there may be a consideration beyond pot odds, namely the subjective value you put on your tournament life. For instance, do you really want to risk your life as say a 4:1 dog because the pot odds are say 5:1 or 6:1? Or even 10:1?

The math says you should because you'll be EV+ over the long run. However, the math doesn't take situational variables into account. For example, what if there probably isn't a long term; i.e. you're in a situation you probably won't be in again? Let's say you're heads up in the WSOP main event, and you're behind but not desperately short-stacked. The pot odds are 6:1, and if you win the hand, you'll have a strong chip lead. However, the hand odds are 4:1, which means you'll come second 80% of the time if you call.

Why would you hate the river? I hate the card that comes on the river sometimes, but other times I also get that BS river card to help me out. Anyone who says they hate the river needs to rethink it. It's a part of the game and without it we wouldn't be playing poker.
