Default Freerolls and Buyins

VENT POST

OK, I've received around two dozen PMs regarding freerolls and I just had to make something readily available for everyone to read. I feel that if you're going to play in the private freerolls you should shell out the massive $2.20 fee for our buyin events. To play for free money that you don't even deserve because you're not here to contribute or play in the league (Everyone PMing me didn't even know that there was a league or that the freerolls were part of it) is ridiculous. If you're going to take I think it's right that you also give, give the real poker players here a chance to play in the private tournaments and have an actual league. The points are doubled in the buyin events and there's not that great a chance of winning the league without playing the buyin events, of course it seems most people aren't here to play the buyins and they're looking for free money. If you want free money, take your time and buy into one of those "My husband was an oil tycoon in Ethiopia but he's dead now and you get all the money if you open us a bank account" emails.

Also, read around a little bit before asking something. There were at least 30 members signed on yesterday, mostly freeroll chasers looking to get into ours at the last minute, and 99% of them are either illiterate or too lazy to hit search if they can't find what they're looking for (Even when what they're looking for is a thread title and is on the main page of the forum).

All the regular members were thinking this, so someone's gotta speak for majority er...minority

P.S.: Oh yeah, if a thread is entitled "Analyze this Hand" or something, don't make a post like "what's the password" or "Jee whiz I love this forum". There are already threads for those things.

I couldn't agree more with agreen. I guess thats why agree is in his name. You have to agree with him. I also want to state to all people playing in the league freerolls and not the buy in games. Please have enough respect to play in both. Don't just step on the site sunday and post like 20 posts really quick, getting your 50 points and then playing in the freeroll. I know what people do and i know that too many people are going to do this. It's not only disrespectful to our moderators, but to contributing members like myself and track as well as others. This erks me in the wrong spot and way.

I couldn't agree with you more, agreen. The moderators and administraors have done a lot of work setting up thgis league. Those that will not leave them alone need to stop.

Also, if you're going to play in the freeroll, at least play in the buy-in event too. I know some of us are busy or have problems with the internet, but at least try to make the buy in event. The fact is that just coming in for the freeroll and not playing in the buy-in isn't the idea of this league. Are you guys who won't join the buy in event scared that your skills aren't good enough to win a buy-in event?

You mean you PMed for the pass last night? I'm pretty sure I got a few from you, can't be sure though I had to delete my whole inbox. 37 Freeroll related PMs, and by freeroll-related I mean meaningless and pertaining to the password and how to get it etc.

-He calls me Mr. Green as a joke now, it's fine

I think it's more that their skills aren't good enough to maintain a healthy, or even existing, balance on an online poker site. My god it's $2.20, no need to rob a bank. See you all in 45 for the buyin.

Yeah, that too. I mean, we all go through our tough times in poker, but to just not have money on for awhile is absurd.

We have 7 freaking people in now. How many were in the freeroll last night? Like 30?
